From Screaming Stone

STOLEN: ’78 Black Fender Precision body w/ a maple w/ white pearl block Jazz neck

LOCATION: Marietta, GA In 1979: I had a hybrid Fender constructed for me in a Puyallup, WA Fender dealership. A ’76 Precision body (black finish) and a ’78 jazz neck (maple w/ white pearl block inlay). The headstock had a faded blue “Cap’n Crunch” sticker on it. This bass was stolen and pawned at a shop in Smyrna, GA. When I found out where it was pawned, I went to retrieve it but the only thing left was the case. The bass had been sold. This bass has a lot of sentimental value. It had been with me for over 23 years at the time it was taken. Has been recorded on numerous projects, and traveled to Greece and back in the early ’80′s. I would love to get it back. It has very distinctive wear marks in the finish. Reward: Whomever purchased it didn’t pay more than $200 for it. I give $300 to get it back in good condition. Contact: www.ScreamingStone.com

STOLEN: ’76 Fender Jazz Bass in case

LOCATION: Talladega, AL ’76 maple on maple Fender Jazz Bass stolen from my residence in rural Talladega, AL. This was a “blond” bass with white pearl block inlay neck. I suspect it was someone I knew who stole it because it was the only thing taken from our entire house. Had four (4) tiny dots of glue or lacquer near the volume knobs. Can’t see them but you can feel them. Case was black Fender hardcase with red plush interior. This was the first bass I purchased with my own money. I only played one (1) gig with it. Contact: www.ScreamingStone.com

STOLEN: ’77 Mahogany Rickenbacker 4001 in case

LOCATION: Talladega, AL Rickenbacker 4001 w/ Fireglo (mahogany) finish in a RICK case with multiple stickers (one read “Electronic Bass Specialist”) stolen from my residence in Talladega, AL. Chromed horseshoe over rear p/u had been removed. According to my father, everything was boxed EXCEPT the bass. Case also contained a Zon microphone and an MXR phase 90, cables and 3″ wide black leather strap. Contact: www.ScreamingStone.com
